LAX crash pads
 

Hey Everyone new to the site got a quick question.With multiple pilots and many airlines based out of LAX does anyone have some info on a decent crash pad.

I googled LAX crash pads and got a bit of info but nothing really. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks..

I think there was a thread started not too long ago about a crash pad opening up in LA in a few months...can't seem to find it, may have been another site

Between 7 different domiciles, LAX was the one that was the hardest to find a crashpad in. They are also expensive, as far as crashpads go.

If you can find something by The Hacienda Hotel in El Segundo, that is a very good location. Maybe it's changed, but you can take their van back and forth to the airport and don't need a car. There is a grocery store right there, multiple restaurants, a short walk to downtown El Segundo, and easy transportation to Manhattan/Hermosa Beach.

Also, it seemed due to the cost in the area, "hot bed" crash pads were more abundant than other places I've been.

There are a couple around the Hacienda. Many shut down after Expressjet closed their LA base and the ones left are pretty full. Expect to pay at least $250 a month for a good one. Look at crewcommute.com (free) and crashpads.com($) and start calling.

There may be some opening up in March because some pilots got displaced out of LAX.
Make a craigslist ad, or search craigslist.

Almost all of the DAL guys stay at the Hacienda in El Segundo. Old hotel but really nice staff and very convenient to LAX, grocery store and good eats.
