Where did you learn how to spell? I believe the proper spelling of chAAos is chAos.

Good stuff..
Regardless of what you think of the Presidents ideas, you've got to admit he is going to much more labor friendly than the last "No Strikes On My Watch" President!

This is true of the American strike, the strike at Northwest was allowed. This largely had to do w/ funding on the part of ALPA for then President Clinton, don't know if he got much from APA. (NW was represented by ALPA/AFL-CIO). This was one of the reasons there was a bit of a push at the time to get ALPA on the property at American so a more competitive contract (think Delta/United...both ALPA) could be negotiated.

The questions I would be asking:

Did President Obama receive funding directly from ALPA?

Is your airline represented by ALPA or not?

Politicians are more likely to reward those who donated to their campaigns.

Spot on. Supposedly Clinton called AFL-CIO and asked if they'd have any heartburn with shutting the strike down. Response, IIRC, was "Hey, they're not our guys". I wouldn't count on Obama's help, but who knows?

CHAOS seems to be effective and legal. I hope it works for them.

Isn't CHAOS what the Association of Flight Attendants use instead of an all out strike?

It is.

I wish the best to all the pilots at American Airlines and all other airline work groups, it's time we all step up and say enough is enough!
