My letter of response to Delta union Reps

No I criticize ALPA for failing to protect ALL of us...and I criticize mainline pilots for wanting my job when things don't work out for them after they sold said job...

I didn't sell anything. I've been fighting for scope since I've been in this career. I gain NOTHING by giving away scope. Pay rates don't do me very much good when there aren't any planes to fly.

Your "brothers" who came before you sold that flying......I bet you wouldn't stoop to fly a Bandit, Brasilia, or Twin Otter...That's how it started......Ego trumps common sense and "brotherhood"......

That's where you're wrong. It's not stooping to fly a T-prop. I want QOL & a good schedule. It's not about the almighty $$$ for all of us.
#125
Exactly....QOL is the most important thing to many of us who choose to stay at the regionals...Most of your compadres would never stoop to fly "little airplanes"....especially ones with props....

"Brotherhood"...Really? I don't know you from Adam and we DON'T have the same interest in common. We're not a socialist state just yet. Give it time though, you may get what you want.
As for wanting your job, you have that job because you work under the code of a major airline. It should be ours during depressed times.
If you really want to advance this profession, go back to flight instructing, get a job flying in the bush, work the corporate world for awhile, and build some experience. Quit doing this job for nothing. At a bare minimum, quit b****ing about parity and pay until you've earned it.

I've flight instructed thousands of hours....did the corporate gig....and have flown Delta passengers for the past 15 years without incident, accident, or failed checkride....I made 100k last year flying a prop plane for ASA/Delta....Save the lecture for someone who is actually impressed with your inflated ego......
I guess you're just waiting around for the 900, 190, M88, 737. In time, because of your willingness to do this job for less, you'll probably get your wish. Good luck!

Well, I guess I'll just leave it at that. I guess you've chosen your career at ASA. 15 years and 100k. That's just *******ing great. You don't think your willingness to do that is part of the problem?

So be it. Merge all the regionals with the majors. DOH should definitely be the method of choice as well. Then we'll all be in the same boat. I suppose as the NEW regional carriers pop up and start flying our routes, all over again for less money, then maybe you'll get it.
But, we'll probably have gone by the wayside by that point and time. After all, Pan Am was an international airline without any domestic feed. It all comes in cycles.
