I agree...we have a lawsuit about that, but a different topic!

I understand your point...however, one could make the argument that the schedule of a senior RJ pilot would be the equivalent of someone at least mid seniority in a given seat/domicile/etc, at the major. Since the passage of merger language a year or two ago, the playing field has changed and everything WILL most likely get arbitrated. The baby get's split! Looking at USAir and America West will show you how such a disparity can be mitigated.

There's been no precedent that I can think of where a small jet provider (in Boyd-speak) has been merged into a Major/Legacy airline. The first one will be the benchmark. And QOL will be an element.

I look at it as a cost for "taking it back." You want it back? Take the bad with the good and all the unintended consequences that come with it.

I'm not trying to throw it at anyone but try and instead point out that there's some thorns in the process and the result might not be as predictable as one thinks.
