I emailed my reps and told them we dont need people leading our MEC and the largest pilot group in the world if they feel its ok to continue to outsource OUR jobs. If any one of our elected reps dont feel its important to represent the entire pilot group then they should be recalled. If moak is acting alone and making decisions about our pilot group without incorporating the rest of our reps then he should be recalled immediately.

Maybe because the contractual flowthrough agreement is equivalent to being stapled to the bottom. Except with a staple every compass pilot would get put on the list immediately instead of waiting the contractual 30 months first while missing out on potential seniority numbers. thanks for asking.

You are obviously on a regional list so get off the major boards. You are not going to be awarded a 747 captain position for staying at the regionals if your regional airline company is absorbed by a major.
I thought it was hyprcritical, that's all. FWIW, I'm furloughed UAL.

I guess I don't understand "yer" original post, because you, of all people, should understand.

Having been previously furloughed (2001-2006) I am sorry you are on the street. With that said, why would you post wanting something about "integrating" an RJ driver into a mainline seat based off DOH and not a staple? You are on the street due to the farming out of mainline flying to RJs from UAL. Do you want to be on the street longer for that? I agree with a previous poster, I don't understand your beef with this.

I agree... your Delta MEC is leaving holes in your contract. He is all about greed and can't see the big picture. Protect your scope language at all costs.

As a regional pilot who doesn't plan on spending the rest of his damn aviation career flying 76 seats for 50% of what the pay should be. . .

Thank You.

Seems we have finally found an element of our professions that rational regional pilots with reasonable career expectations and our mainline brothers and sisters can actually agree on.

Good luck

DOH for RJ integration is an absolute joke for a multitude of reasons but I have a favorite and this is aimed at those super senior RJ guys at places like Comair; you either were not hired or didn't apply or qualify to interview and thats why they're not at mainline right now, so don't expect DOH seniority. If a pilot could go to Comair or Delta in 1989, why not go to Delta? If you didn't, then don't expect to be absorbed by Delta and integrated with the guy who did go to Delta in 1989. Same goes for 1989, 1995, 1998, 2000, so on.

Thats why CPZ is the way to go. The system is already set up for them to come into the bottom and like all of us on the bottom they'd get to enjoy everything we've got and its worth it. I'll take the bottom here over the top of my previous airline. THEN WE CAN START EXPANDING 76 SEATERS ON THE MAINLINE SIDE AND START HIRING. Even in the eyes of the pilots at DCI, it sucks spending 5 years as an FO at a regional, it'd be nice if there was some real movement and opportunity and not just a 1 year hiring window every 6 or 7 years.

I want a sticker on my flight bag that says something to the effect: WE WANT THEIR PILOTS WE WANT THEIR PLANES. I guess I'll have to pay $5 to have it made.

What, UAL express! 200 hour wonder maybe. You should spend your time on the street getting an education. People like you do nothing to advance this industry. You're not furloughed from UAL. I call BS!

Can someone explain to me how some how some regional smuck spending 17 hrs. in KMOT or KJAN for their overnight is stealing a mainline 747 CA position? Doesn't the economics of this make it better for mainline?
