Just to give my $.02...
Judy is very knowledgeable. She is one of the few I will recommend without hesitation in this industry. |

skybolt, if you have something to say come out and say it, don't be a wus I'm trying to avoid SWA discussions, (disclaimer coming...) because I can 't get on over there, and it doesn't help my mood to log on and read SWA discussions. But I must have written that in a particulary weak moment:D Here's what I meant, SWA is currently (info from a senior Captain friend) avoiding any applicant who PREPPED. From that perspective, the best prep comes from your previous employers, and the employers I listed obviously do a pretty good job of teaching their people the presentation skills necessary to succeed in the SWA interview system. The military obviously teaches leadership, etc; I don't know what COEX teaches, but it must work because they have a pretty high success rate if anecdotal evidence is to be believed. And you thought that I was trying to start a mil vs civilian thread tsk, tsk. SkyBolt |
My question would then be, " how does SWA know you did a prep?"
The answer is, they don't unless you tell them. They have no way of knowing if you did a prep. What, are they going to tap your phone and have you followed prior to doing an interview. They may ask during the interview. Then it's up to you to tell them whether you did or not, but again, they have no way of knowing. Neither Emerald Coast Interviews or The Write Resume will divulge any information to SWA about people they prep. Oh, by the way, those are two other services that do SWA interview prep. www.awriteresume.com www.emeraldcoastinterviewconsulting.com. I would highly advise anyone doing an interview with SWA, JetBlue, or any other company that does a SAR format type interview to get prep. Unless you have a degree in Human Resources, Experience in the SAR format, or a strong innate ability to understand the reason behind a question and the pitfalls of typical answers, you need to be prepped.
