Default Thanks Southwest!

Just commuted on you guys for the first time ever. MSP-MDW-ORF. Slick!

I'll be doing that again!

Seriously, I love the no-nonsense, no BS approach. No dozens of announcements thanking the Gold Club, Zillion mile flyers. No announcements trying to pawn off credit cards, etc.

The jokes and songs are a bit iffy, but I'll take it for the rest of the simplicity of the trip.

Just A to B to C without any fuss at all.

That's how travel should be!

I have to agree. The easiest commute/jumpseat in our industry (IMO). Pick up the phone and ask if it's open. If so, they ask if you want it!

Agree with all above. Southwest is a class act. Nothing but accommodating, even when the only seat left is on the flight deck. Would love to join their ranks some day.

They're good. I miss the informal "Jumpseaters board before the regular passengers" policy though.

AirTran's excellent as well. And although I've never tried them, I've heard UPS and FedEx are fantastic.

Wouldn't A to B be better?

Go up to the gate agent and ask if they need any help with pushing wheelchairs or anything else for that matter. If they don't need any help then ask them very nicely if you could check in with the Captain and First Officer. 9 out of 10 times they'll let you go ahead of everybody. Also if there are other SWA crews deadheadeding or non-revving strike up a conversation. I always bring guys down the jetway any chance I have.

Never had a problem getting on board before the passengers...everyone appreciates a Jumpseater that isn't holding up the boarding while asking for the ride...and while I'm here, thanks for the rides to work. Whenever UAL lets me down into ORD, I head of to y'all for MDW!

BTW, your Oreo Crisps are why I don't mind commuting LoL
