Default American Recalls

American has 1973 recalls still pending. But how many will come back?
A lot have found new jobs, lost medicals, changed careers, passed on, or something else.
Any projections on recalls and hiring?

95%?.... you really think that many..... I knew/know 6 or 8 who work at FSI STL who said they would never go back.

I don't think there is going to be any recalls at AA for a very very long time. In fact, another furlough isn't beyond possibility IMHO. The US airline industry is going down the toilet, along with the rest of the country.

Actually they just completed a round of recalls. I know a guy that just went back a month ago and just finished retraining on the 757/767.

I don't think your going to see much outta AA until the contract is settled... Kinda hoping they merge AA/AE.. Some say they don't know how they could not merge the companies.

Merge AA and AE? Not likely. Mainline employees aren't willing to work for what AE pays. AMR will just keep chipping away at mainline contracts and keep shifting flying to AE. I think they're 10 year plan is to have AE do domestic flying for commuter pay. The sad part is that a lot of pilots at AE would do it.

Oh God here we go again... APA taking our flying... no no its ALPA thats taking our flying ... All domestic flying is going to AE.... no, wait we are selling them off and contracting RAH for all commuter flights... Just one question for all of us pilots.. "who decides which planes fly which routes...."

Bingo, its management, who will continue laughing all the way to the bank while we continue to bicker amongst ourselves.
