Im writing a paper for my Air Transportation class and had a couple of questions for any major airlines. The questions I have are:

1. Where is your airline based and what routes are flown?
2. How do you feel the company became successful and what management strategies are used?
3. Do you feel like you have a good employer/employee relationship?
4. What marketing strategies does the airline use and do you feel they have changed in the last year?
5. Do you like working for this airline? Where would you like to work?

If anybody can answer any of these I would appreciate it. In the replies could you also tell me what airline you work for? Thanks!

Having written many papers in my past classes, it would be much better for you to get face to face with these types of questions. The reply you are looking for are hardly one line answers and and we cannot handle that sort of keyboarding anymore. Talking, yes.

Are you sure questions #2 and #4 are even for pilots to answer?

I have some questions for you:

1. Are there any hot chicks in your Air Transportation class?

2. If yes, can you take some photos and post them here?

3. If yes, why aren't you trying to hook up with them?

MSP and ATL with outposts in NYC, DTW, MEM, CVG, ANC, NRT and whatever the code is for Amsterdam
2. How do you feel the company became successful and what management strategies are used?
A combination of safety, efficiency and customer service combined with screwing everyone out of money in bankruptcy.
3. Do you feel like you have a good employer/employee relationship? Absolutely, as long as they pretend to pay me, I pretend to work
4. What marketing strategies does the airline use and do you feel they have changed in the last year? We employ several strategies:

• The most effective is monopoly, where you have to fly us because there is no other choice. In this mode we take you where you need to go. That is rarely where anyone wants to go. Africa is a great example.
• Our other strategy is unbundeling (yeah, my spell checker doesn't like it either and don't ask my neighbor his opinion) where we sell tickets cheap and charge outrageous fees for necessities, like arriving at your destination with your luggage. Our saving grace is that we are not as greedy as our competitors who are now charging for water on flights where the cabin humidity is lower than the Sahara during a drought.
• We lastly make money by getting out of the airline business entirely and simply act as a ticket agent and lessor for aggressive regional airlines who bid the work for nearly nothing and pass this savings on to their pilots who earn nearly nothing. This part of our business has been the most successful growing from less than 10% ten years ago to over 50% of our total flying (or un-flying now) We are now expanding the concept into international widebody flying via joint ventures. Eventually we hope to do no work, provide no service, and get rich doing it. Our union is convinced management will share this money with us and that we will all keep our jobs while doing nothing! Future is so bright, I got to wear shades :cool:

5. Do you like working for this airline? Where would you like to work? I love the company and the concept of all getting rich while doing nothing has my interest, but being a bouncer in a high end strip bar pays better and has better benefits.

Hope you get an A+. However, I recommend that unless you are in a military Academy with Uncle Sugar paying the bills you immediately drop out of college and seek employment in security at the nearest adult entertainment establishment. I've got degrees and initials trailing after my name and I can tell you, all that, plus a buck fifty cents buys a Coca Cola in this economy.
