Quick Question for UAL Airbus Guys

I have noticed for sometime that the A319/320s in the old paint have the forward sections of the engine cowlings replaced, and they are painted with the new blue.

Just curious if it is ramp rash or delamination. It seems to be just about every airplane that I see that is still in the old paint.

Thanks.

When they delam or crack and get changed out the newer parts have the new paint job on them.

Too many paint jobs, no parts, too few mechanics, no long term vision from uaua mgmt, and the list goes on. As a former 12 year uaua vet..... the worst was an old paint radome on a white TED 320.

Airline looks like someone with a 69 Nova that grabs whatever part is available at the junkyard. Does it mean the aircraft is not airworthy? No. But the fact that perception is reality in this business, means uaua will take a dirt nap soon.

I believe it was EAL that started just painting the front of their aircraft before going under to make them pretty to the pax from the terminal/jetway. uaua doesn't even care.....
