Breaking news: Plane leaving St. Louis makes emergency landing

(KMOV) -- A plane that took off from St. Louis was forced to make an emergency landing.

It happened just after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

The plane was Southwest flight 3238 that was headed to Orlando, Fla. from St. Louis. It left St. Louis at 8:50 a.m. and was due to arrive in Orlando at 11:10 a.m.

It landed at the airport in Orlando and so far, there are no reports of injuries. 134 people were on board.

Reportedly the fire indicator light on the plane went off.

Passengers were evacuated from the plane and bussed to the terminal.

Investigators have not found any damages so far.

We will bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.

Hope these guys don't get the Qantas Syndrome.

Defined: Non-events become events to satisfy a news hungry media.

At least they have something else to focus on at the moment.
