Default United SEA domicile

Will UA be opening a 320 domicile in SEA now that the 737's are being retired?

A friend told me that he thought United was letting the SEA domicile die out. If true it is very unfortunate for all those folks who have been based there and the ones who wanted to go there (like me when I was at UA).

Good luck to all.

GuppyPuppy,

I believe your friend is correct. All that is left of the SEA pilot domicile is the 777 and 767 base with about 90 pilots total. No A320 base, at least not announced. The most junior pilot holding SEA is coming up on his 14th anniversary!!! Very senior place.

I remember thinking that I was about six months away from holding SEA U30 F/O on September 11th. I had my bid in since day one (3/2000) and was hoping to get it. Even at the bottom of the list I would have had 14 days off and a 4-hour callout.

I have since moved out east, but am looking at moving to the PNW in the next two years. Looking forward to that day.

Again, good luck to all the UAL guys and gals.
