Default 9/11: Fly your colors for the next week

If you have a Patriotic tie, talk yourself into flying your colors at work if your company manual approves it and you have never done it before. And wear it for the next week or more.

For the guy that posted on APC that it is disrespectful to wear an American flag....We're not wearing an American Flag were wearing a symbol of Patriotism.

Lets not forget and show your respects for our fellow flight crewmembers and citizens lost.

Personally, I think the American flag ties look gaudy. I'll stick with my symbol of patriotism.....a uniform tie.

I agree. The video of the towers falling should be shown nightly on TV.

If patriotism is limited by what you deem is in fashion then you might be missing the point a little. It's a sign of respect for those that have giving the ultimate sacrifice, not a fashion statement. There's pride in doing what little you can to show support for your country and those that serve it. Give it a shot you might actually like it

To a lot of us, 911 seems just like yesterday which makes it hard to comprehend that a considerable number of posters on this board hadn't even begun flying yet, let alone were flying on that day. If you haven't seem the movie "United 93" directed by Paul Greengrass, by all means, SEE IT. My hat is off to that man, although the one detail he botched that I personally know of, was the Delta flight vectored out of the way of the United airplane that hit the south tower was actually a Midwest DC-9 flown by friends of mine.

I tried watching that movie when it first hit theaters - my date wanted to see it. Lasted five minutes and couldn't stand what it felt like, so I left. Still not sure if I could sit through it...

Would keeping a flag patch in one's left breast pocket be considered flying the colors ?
I wonder how many others do the same .
