Sleep well ALPA pilots, your union protected the original Midwest Pilots, they will do the same for you.
It is nice that the Delta ALPA "brothers and sisters" are keeping the relationship with the new Midwest pilots after they bought and sold the original company.

To all the good folks @ Midwest, I am so incredibly sorry that this happened to you all. Without all the he said, she said spin crap, this entire ordeal is just disgusting. I know this is no solace for you. But I wish you and yours the best today, tomorrow and always!! Take care and KEEP SMILING!!

Yes it's terrible and tough on each person going through it, but for crying out loud quit your whining! Grow a set, pick yourself up by the short hairs, get a job somewhere or go to school but MOVE ON. Whining about Republic this and Republic that makes you look like a jerk. Eastern got screwed, UsAir, United, MaxJet, USA3000, ACA etc etc etc all got screwed by competition, bad management or forced ownership from an outside entity.
After 4 airlines in 2 years one of which paid me 20K to fly an EMB 175 (and it was costing me about 6K to live out of domicile) I had to give up my dream of flying and take my own advice. The way I look at it, at least I don't have cancer, and I had the privledge of flying (5 type ratings) and working with a truly professional group of individuals at almost every airline I flew for. Not many people in this world can say "I was an airline pilot". Where I work now I don't get to close the flight deck door, look out the window and not be bothered until we open the door again! I flew into Nirobi once and the people there lived in a heart breaking level of poverty but yet they STILL seemed to find something to smile about. What doesn't kill you will make you stronger!

If taking it on the chin makes one stronger, then maybe you should have stayed in flying: just think how strong you would be now.

A sixtyish Midwest CA jumpseats on my flights regularly. Been with the company 20+ years. I don't think he needs anything to make him stronger. But he has taken your advice and moved on. After all, he has no desire to earn $37 an hour as a 20 year FO.

carreer I have had in aviation, I have no chin left. The CA probably got the same message that I did. That was, companies are no longer interested in paying for your skills anymore. This is because the aircraft have become more automated, the systems we fly in are safer and most of all, the Unions have worried about their own existence over the needs of their members. There should have been a national seniority list a long time ago. It's no fun flying for $23.00 an hour and having to worry about who is going to buy you or run you out of business. Let face it, if the flying isn't fun then it is a horrible job. I left flying because of an old saying. "the deffinition of insanity is when you keep doing the same thing over and over and expect to get a different result" Yes I am home every night but I don't like my job, I make less money than I used to, and I don't get to fly anymore but, as I said earlier "at least I dont have terminal cancer" Reality bites sometimes.

I'm sure Republic pilots want this to go away....
Don't count on it
Your union is driving this deal and needs to be held responsible. Our profession needs to work together not whip-saw one pilot group against another.
Republics EXCO is the problem here not management at Midwest or Republic.
