Human remains fall from plane onto Long Island home

Some residents on Long Island got a shocking surprise Tuesday morning after a human leg, believed to have fallen from an incoming airplane into Kennedy Airport, landed on their home in Floral Park.

The body part is believed to have come from the wheel well of South African Airlines flight 203. Federal investigators say more remains were found onboard in the landing gear compartment of the jet after it touched down at JFK. The TSA, FAA and Port Authority are investigating the incident. Officials believe the remains are that of a stowaway.

The flight originated in Johannesburg, South Africa and connected in Dakar, Senegal before heading to New York City.
