Question for YX pilots...

An honest question:

Would you rather...

1. enter the RAH combined seniority list with a fence of some kind that lets you fly MKE based E-190's

2. join the combined seniority list with a fence that keeps you in MKE, regardless of aircraft type

3. join the combined seniority list and be assigned to the E190, regardless of base

4. join the combined seniority list and hold whatever aircraft and base your new seniority number allows.

One pilots opinion...

5. Join the combined seniority list flying Midwest painted aircraft, with Midwest passengers, on Midwest routes with a fence around Midwest flying until all Midwest pilots are recalled.

Not trying to hijack the thread but:
I flew home on YX today as usual, and as usual you treated me and everyone on the plane with the utmost respect. Thank you for the many years of safe travel and hospitality on your airline. You will be missed...

YX will not be the same without you guys at the controls. The best care in the air ends today. Hopefully to return with RYX (real YX) crews in the future. Good luck!

Ok, that is a reasonable response. I would like to ask one follow up question... do you include the E135 in Midwest colors as a valid aircraft to be recalled to, and would you accept the pay that goes with it?

At a membership meeting the Midwest MEC said, our approach is to negotiate industry average wages for any aircraft painted Midwest... if TPG wants to fly C172s we will negotiate a rate. Individual members can decide if they want to work for Midwest flying C172s.

Would I take a recalled to fly E135? Until I find something better... sure.

Midwest pilots do not think they are above a E135, but we also would like to get credit for years of airline experience, relative seniority position, and for building Midwests loyality in MKE. The CEO at Midwest wasn't the one who made passengers feel welcome, carried their children off the airplane, helped them stow a bag, or had the FAs serve drinks at the gate during a delay.

the current cba at midwest should be used. all rates were lumped into one, that would include the e135. however if we are to include planes less than 88 seats, then skyway pilots should also get a crack at those positions before rah pilots.

Just my opinion Right Seat, and I am sure many feel different for their own reasons. I lean towards whatever gets the most people back to work the quickest. My guess would be any airplane/anywhere would accomplish that the quickest.
My next choice would be any Mke flying with a fence, since I live in Mke. (Obviously, for many others that's irrelevant). My last choice would be fenced flying for E-190 only, as that could have a VERY limiting effect, depending on the number of E-190s coming on property.
As an aside, in a later post you ask if willing to fly E-135 at published rates. I am a little confused here. I was under the impression that with a merged list we would be flying under the current RAH contract. Am I missing something? If Republic offers me a chance to fly an E-135 I would take it, as it is better than unemployment and keeps me flying. As far as I know the rate is already set, but maybe I have a misconception.
Regards
