If AirTran Strikes ?
Honest Question.
It is a very real possibility that AirTran pilots will strike. If they do, what is the responsibility of Skywest pilots ? I understand they are non union.
AirTran management will attempt to farm out the struck flying. Management are the product of Lorenzo inbreeding. Lorenzo actually hired S.K personally.
Thoughts ?

I'm sure you know how difficult it is to strike in this business even WITH good reason.
I would hope the Skywest pilots would say no, but if they don't..they would just be continuing the "regional legacy" of me me me.

"What is abundantly clear, unfortunately, is that our contract allows management great latitude to give your job to other airlines, including non-union SkyWest."
Direct from the MEC in the SKYWEST/AIRTRAN thread.
There will be no strike..unfortunately.

A. Coming in as a new member with no posts and asking a question like that makes folks think you are already a member on here but are too chicken to post under your original handle. So you created an alter-ego handle to do your dirty work....Thats just what people are gonna think.
B. You are getting way too far ahead of yourself.

" We will strike over scope " ATN MEC Chairman. 11/05/09.
My fault though. The post was not meant to imply that a strike would be as a direct result of the Skywest agreement. Merely that a stike is where FL will end up.
Strike vote and request for release within 6 months.
