DAL551 09/07/09 divert to MHLM then onto MHTG
 
Curious if anyone knew what was up with DAL551 katl->mhtg that got diverted to mhlm?

Looked like there was some nasty wx southwest of cuba (tropical storm ida) and was curious if it hit that and had to divert.

hope all are ok.

Considering that you never heard about it in the news or anything else, it's pretty safe to say "everyone is ok."

Diverts don't kill people. Not diverting can.

Do you know how many flight divert every day? It's not a big deal and for sure not news worthy.
