Default F9 storms out of meeting

Saw the following posted on another forum. Can anyone corroborate?

Heard from my friend (shuttle plilot with R) about meeting last week between RAH management and F9 Reps. The meeting only lasted a few minutes. The guy running the meeting was Republics' COO. Told F9 reps that there was no fence in place to protect Frontier Pillots.

Frontier demanded seniority integration and fence they were promissed by Bedford. Argument started in which RAH reps were no $hit yelling at F9. Frontier reps quietly got up and walked out of meeting.

After F9 left, I guess Republic management started talking about time table for Airbus to 190's conversion. My buddy also said the jets would likely be modified (just like the others) to keep them below 100 seat capacity. The company MEL's a single seat belt and removes it from the last row of the airplane.

Again I ask, would you rather be on the bottom of Southwest's list or mixed up in this Mickey Mouse operation? This is probably heresay but this sort of crap from this operation wouldn't surprise me in the least bit. Good luck to the Frontier guys, looks like they will need it.

Nice first post! No line pilot at RAH would have this info, so your either flaming or your buddy lied to you.

That is old news, happened weeks ago.

The buses are already overnighting in MKE(5 I think).
The junior F9 folks will just have to be satisfied that they have a job and take what the reverend doles out.

This is old news. I didn't think they stormed out because of the fence issue but more because they didn't think they would have to integrate. Management told them that the contract says 1 list and there is no way around it. F9 gets mad because BB told them they wouldn't have to integrate and, to put it nicely, they figured it best to leave and talk it over amongst themselves. Also BB and his gang have nothing to do with the integration or what the outcome is. The unions will battle out the SLI and most likely an arbitrator will have the final say in all of this. As for the fences I don't have any problem giving F9 a fence but RAH already has an invisible fence in place for everyone. Remember that RAH currently doesn't have any flush or bumping ability. No one senior to you can come into your base and bump you out. The only way someone can come into your base is if there is a vacancy or a base swap. Yes someone senior to you could come into your base and knock you down a spot in seniority but only if there is an open spot in your base. If your base is full then you have nothing to worry about. As it stands now there won't be any Airbus guys getting sent to BUF to fly the 145 unless they wanted to and even if they really wanted to they would have to wait for a vacancy to open up.

Seems like Frontier guys are in it deep! The rejection of Southwest in favor of Republic looks like it may turn out to be one of the biggest blunders in aviation history, as many have predicted.

Not according to the F9 guys on this board.
There will be a flood of responses from them on this.

Are you that naive? All they need to do is open an Airbus base in MKE. Without fences Frontier pilots would be screwed.

I'm FNWA and want to bid a DAL base. I'm sort of in the same boat, there has to be an opening. But dependent on aircraft movement to different bases, it will be interesting to see what options will be available.

The reason Republics EXCO is delaying the Midwest integration...

Republics pilot union is work with Rev BB to reduce corporate operating costs and gain flying.

I hope Rev. BB doesn't turn on you guys.

DO NOT HIRE REPUBLIC PILOTS.

Hey F9 pilots, welcome to our world. You now are in the same boat we are except you are still flying. For now anyway. Yeah, it's wrong. Except in the mind of Toilet Duck and a few others on this board, they will have no problem telling you that they saved your a$$. I would be happy to sit down with you and tell you what I think about RAH and the people who run it as well as their pawns that stole my job that I held for almost 20 years. Since we are now one family, as soon as I can fly an Airbus, I am on it. I would like DEN if you don't mind. Thanks. Enjoy.
