Let me guess at your reasoning.... Because Republic bought your company.

I think some type of fences are needed so you can upgrade and that the Midwest/Frontier FOs don't have to be lowered to your level. ( eg. a NWA 747 Capt shouldn't have to move down to Delta MD90 Capt because of integration)

Jut heard that IBT invited YX ALPA & FAPA to DCA next week for some more talks before going to mediation. Anyone else heard this?

If all the Midwest pilots are included in the integration.

Frontier has always been a commuter: commuter training, workrules, hotels, crew meals, POI. They just have bigger airplanes.

Rev. BB still has to negotiate down the Midwest pilots ALPA contract. That contract was included in the Republic/Midwest merger and is still in effect.

I mean, that's why they wanted to jam a contract lower then Republics down our throats.

MD80, don't we lose our contract if were put on RAH senority list?

I'm not sure. Midwest Airlines had a contract with the Midwest pilots, MKE airport, Slot agreements, ... and I believe they are all still in effect.

At this time Rev. BB is fighting grievances over ending the code-shares, removing the "connect" stickers, ... and not using the Midwest Pilots and FA that have labor contracts with Midwest Airlines. If he wins both grievances, then I think he will outsource the flying around these labor contract. At that period, the contracts would still in effect but with no flying assigned to them.

July 2009
Bedford added that under new ownership, discussions regarding the renegotiation of collective bargaining agreements would continue with labor organizations representing Midwest pilots, currently in mediation, and Midwest flight attendants. Ultimately, details of the integration process for represented employees will be determined by their respective unions.

So, it would be to the benefit of all Republic pilots that the Midwest pilots win one of these grievances.

as i understand it (how it was explained to me)

once the SLI is complete, then we amalgamate the contracts. by we, i mean the new, combined RAH pilot group. not management. not sure if we just get to cherry-pick from each contract and make a "best of" contract, or some other method, though.

Please do not bring up your contract when making comparisons for integration. I am not 100%, but the arbitrator does not care if you have trip/duty rigs in your contract.

Here is how it will shake down:

F9 will do well in integration compared to current RAH pilots.
XY will not do so well compared to current RAH pilots.
Lynx will practically be a staple if not a true staple.

Now that I think about it, we are on uncharted grounds. I can't think of one time that 4 groups needed to be integrated. Should make for a wild ride. I hope we can all have a beer 10 years from now an laugh about this.

This company will not be in business 10 years from now.
