Let me guess... your DOH is Jan 2008. Anyway answer me this...
Why would it be "Fair and Equtiable" for you to keep your relative position and the 57% FO at Frontier/Midwest be lowered to your level?
..................57% Republic...............57% Frontier/Midwest.................
DOH ................2008 ...............................2002............... ...............
Pay ................$35/hr ............................$90/hr ............................
Trip rig...............NO ................................YES............... ................
Retirement..........NO ................................YES............... ................
Let me guess at your reasoning.... Because Republic bought your company.
I think some type of fences are needed so you can upgrade and that the Midwest/Frontier FOs don't have to be lowered to your level. ( eg. a NWA 747 Capt shouldn't have to move down to Delta MD90 Capt because of integration)

Please do not bring up your contract when making comparisons for integration. I am not 100%, but the arbitrator does not care if you have trip/duty rigs in your contract.
Here is how it will shake down:
F9 will do well in integration compared to current RAH pilots.
XY will not do so well compared to current RAH pilots.
Lynx will practically be a staple if not a true staple.
Now that I think about it, we are on uncharted grounds. I can't think of one time that 4 groups needed to be integrated. Should make for a wild ride. I hope we can all have a beer 10 years from now an laugh about this.

All I can hope is that is your independent thought because if it's your union they are opening themselves to litigation because you are wrong. The arbitrator looks at everything including contracts. Especially if you have a good attorney who makes a valid argument.

If everyone had your attitude, your right it would be out of business.
1. IBT747 is out so after SLI we as a group can write our own bylaws. (this might be a last ditch effort to keep IBT around)
2. After SLI we as a group can form our own independant union and rewrite new bylaws.
3. After SLI we as a group can work together on a new contract.

Don't sell RAH too short. They have the fixed fee operation that can be used to prop up the branded. Now, before all you guys out there tell me about Express Jet, they were different. They were operating when oil was 140 a barrel. That was just bad timing. I really do not think I will be here in 10 years anyway. On to bigger and better, hopefully.

Scroll down to the 'Return on Investment' part.
Republic now has to buy fuel, take care of customers, and please employees whose expectation is that their company is a career destination, not a stepping stone.
The most important element are the employees. The old mantra is take care of your employees and they will in turn take care of your customers.
You had a chance to take a highly experienced, highly motivated group of employees that are fiercely loyal to their company and ride that wave of enthusiasm to a very promising and prosperous future. Instead, you chose the quick buck instead of the greater long term rewards.
The Denver post has had a few articles lately on whats happening to Frontier and Lynx. Employee morale is going down and passengers who once had a TV are noticing a Midwest painted airplane at their gate.
Its going to take a lot of propping.

I wouldn't give it ten years. This is a train wreck getting ready to happen we just don't know when.
