757 Driver, I can only tell you what a good friend of mine at Frontier told me. He was against RAH's takeover of his company and begged his leadership to consider the SWA deal. He knew he would eventually end up just like me, locked out of my own company after it was raped and pillaged by RAH. He also told me that most of his fellow pilots are in denial even though they see what is happening. Then you get on this site and have to argue with these RAH crews who have absolutely no idea why anyone but themselves should have a job. Pathetic. All former Midwest people wish the Frontier people all the best. You are going to need it.

This was all a well played game of poker by SW. They made Republic go "all in" while SW folded. Now Republic has to find out a way to get out of their gambling debt... I feel sorry for those who are under their umbrella.

As much as they don't want to admit it, FAPA did have a role in the negotiating process. Seems like now you are all trying to wipe your hands clean... How was that water cannon salute again?

I for one didn't think that FAH being bought by a company it used to subcontract to as a victory. With SWA growth in Denver they very well may have needed the majority of the employees. I also didn't think that the SWA offer was a ticket to a seniority number for Lynx pilots, so don't go there.

We are seeing the true colors of the RAH management, and they are getting defensive. They were the recipient of misplaced affection post bankruptcy and now that they are dismantling F9 and throwing away L3 they wonder why people are angry.

Months ago BB spoke of a lack of trust from Frontier employees towards RAH and how that was troubling. Now he's complaining that the local paper wont print his spin. Everyone at RAH I assume gets his weekly letters. The first one since L3's demise was announced almost a month ago just came out and not one mention of our shutdown, not one.

This is not a company that cares at all about it's employee's despite their rhetoric.

Never mind the fact that I quoted a press release from the Company and you quoted two pilots on this message board.

I can't speak for any other F9 pilot, but I do not know anyone that is happy about Republic.

I am not really sure why you are so interested in our fate, but the fact of the matter is it was not up to any employee group. FAPA agreed to continue negotiating with SWAPA, and the parties when slated to meet again. Unfortunately the auction ended prior to that meeting taking place. No one ever said no, or "rebuked" one side.

You are welcome to believe whatever you want, but I don't know anyone here that is still saying "what if....".

What would a Frontier thread be without an apparent SWA FO chiming in...

Obviously FAPA had a role in the negotiating process, they negotiated for approximately four hours one night and committed to meet again. Whether or not those negotiations played any roll in the outcome will apparently remain open for debate...

Poker analogy? You must be a member of the "SWA just wanted to look at F9's books" club.

About 6 weeks ago I was on a Republic-operated flight sold as a Midwest ticket MKE to LAS. Rudest flight attendant crew I had ever seen. They were just very short with everyone, especially about the issue of there not being enough room for everyone's carry-on bags.

Yeah, when you've started charging for the first checked bag, obviously more people are going to carry-on. If you're going to force everyone to pack light for carry-on and then a lot of them are going to be forced to check their bags anyway when you run out of overhead bin space, you should at least be polite about that insanity. Your flight attendants obviously should be patient about it since its the company's fault.

Haha, also they came around with the chocolate chip cookies and the flight attendent was continuing her annoyed and impatient manner and was running up and down the cabin yelling "cookies! cookies" really loudly and ridiculously. The guy in the row behind me started mocking her and it got a chuckle out of our area.

While I agree that RAH has zero concern about employee morale, and I am very sorry about the fate of L3, I feel compelled to comment on your SWA "ticket".

Over 20% of the FAPA pilots were going to be furloughed immediately upon a SWA acquisition (directly from SWAPA proposal) and this was in addition to the 10% already furloughed or on LOA. The "excess" FAPA pilots were going to remain FAPA pilots, not SWAPA pilots (again, directly from the SWAPA proposal).

This was prior to your union drive at Lynx. How would you end up with a seniority number when approximately 300 FAPA pilots were going to be without one?

Meanwhile, all active L3 pilots are going to be integrated in some manner. Who knows how that will shake out but you are going to be on the list. I just hope we can get an effective, independent union established immediately and negotiate a real CBA.

I'd rather be furloughed waiting for SWA than at the bottom of an airline that could shut down tomorrow. And with all this maneuvering, the writing is on the wall. Another case of short term gain over long term success. As someone said before, this will be one of the greatest aviation blunders in history.

You quoted my post but I do not think that you actually read the words. The recall rights of the furloughed pilots was questionable at best.

I think if you asked anyone if they prefer a number and recall rights at SWA vs a number at RAH, 100% would say SWA. Unfortunately that wasn't an option.

So then the question begs to be answered. No Midwest Planes! No Midwest Name! hmmm, No Midwest Pilots? That should smooth the integration process a bit.
