No offense to Sully intended AT ALL but....
....this is getting a bit ridiculous. A press release from USAirways about this?? USAirways is going over-board IMHO. Again, nothing against the crew as they did a heroic job and deserve praise for their actions that day.

I think it's a little bit exagerated too. The media really lives out of these kind of stories. Anyhow, for us is not bad. I think it's actually good. It helps get some attention towards our profession and hopefuly people may understand that our job is much more complicated than just "driving a flying bus". There are huge responsabilities and the training we go thru and all that hard work we do to get our passengers safely home.
I do have a question though, why took him almost nearly 10 months to get back online? I mean, I don't think at any point the investagation leaned towards the crew being at fault. Was he getting full pay meanwhile?

Why wouldn't the company promote this?
These two pilots are seen as heroes to the public. It is perhaps one of the very good things going for US Scare. Let them milk this for all they can.
Without this press release, it would have been leaked that Sully and Skiles were flying together, and the media would have rushed in and been troublesome. At least they have ground rules for what they can and cannot do.

You stole my thunder. They need to demand a solid pension decent pay and better QOL. I wish Sully found a new job so he could really lay out the industry including management and all the crap that goes on. It would be nice to see him address congress without having his company in his pocket and his ear.
I'm happy for them both.
