A US Airways pilot with as much experience as Sullenberger makes about $130,000 to $150,000 a year
The Detroit News Online

You got it wrong. $142 a flight hour means he earns $122K a year on guarantee alone, and we all know everyone makes more than guarantee. 130 to 150 is probably a good estimate. Not that that is anything to brag about after 30 years with a major.

I made more with 3 years at a major. I feel sorry for those USAir guys.

A US Airways pilot with as much experience as Sullenberger is worth about $___,000 to $___,000 a year

Curious to what the public would fill in for those blanks...

my guess... a million plus, but only if JFK to LAX is still $199 round trip.

You guys have it wrong.

East narrowbody Captains (A320 and under) make $124 per hour under LOA 93 (their CH 11 paycut). West Captains (all) make $ 142/hr pus Intl override for flag ops to HI.

Sully, though, had a management job created for him that paid closer to $200K per year, and he never had to show up at the office. No one at the training center has seen him since the job was created.
