Are the trash bags at WalMart labeled as carry-on luggage?

Since this is a United hub, I have come to know many fine United employees over the years. Don't diss an entire airline just because their management sux.

I'm sure the fine employees at UAL will carry whomever shows up for the flight. As far as selling the seats, riddle me this: If the load factors are in the mid-90's system wide and UAL isn't making boatloads of money, do you think the tickets are too cheap?

I do agree with the WalMart analogy, the planes look like crap, the last one I was on was FILTHY DIRTY. UAL is looking more like a commuter operation than a former trunk airline, maybe they'll get it right in the next trip through chapter 11.

I guess July 31 [when they report 2Q earnings] will tell the tale.

What do you expect? The airlines own expedia and travelocity. Look at how low the fares are on those two sites. Filling the planes up doesn't do much for you if you're selling the seat for less than it costs to send it where it's going.

Check your facts, I think that you'll find that you're wrong. They [some airlines] used to have a stake in Orbitz but no longer.

Well, when I lived there (seven months ago) there was one in the UNC area, WT Harris off of 85.

(Sorry...I miss living in CLT and am using this as an excuse to reminisce.)
