Will Hollis Harris be Delta's next CEO?
Apparently there will be a change at the top soon at Delta. The leading candidates according to this article aren't qualified and suggests Harris would be a better choice.

Delta CEO Jerry Grinstein says executives James Whitehurst, COO, and Ed Bastian, CFO, are candidates for his job. Instead, Grinstein’s logical successor is Hollis Harris according to Harry L. Nolan, Jr.author of "Airline Without A Pilot – Lessons in Leadership." His recent book is the inside story of Delta’s success, decline and bankruptcy

Wonder boy Whitehurst is the leading contender for the job.
He is young bright, personable and the industry needs someone like him with young and new ideas. We have had to many of the good old boys in recent years and they have come to the table with old concepts that haven't worked and it's time for something new.
In addition, youth will be served.
He can't do much worse than previous inept management.

I read the article!
Let me ask you a question. Doe's Harry L. Nolan Jr. have a vote on the board of directors?
Opinions are like aholes everyone has one.
Lighten up, sounds like my opinion offended you!
When he gets a vote I would be willing to take more stock in his opinion.

Hollis is a great guy, and was one of the good management guys at Delta, but I doubt that he is being considered for a position now. I expect that Jim Whitehurst will get the nod, and I think that it will happen fairly soon. From what I've seen, he's capable of doing a far better job than the past few yahoos we've had running the show.

The opinion of the Delta work group has little if no bearing on the boards electing a new CEO.
Last I heard anyway! If I get a call asking who I would want for CEO I most definetly will through my hat in the ring. Fat chance!
In that regard weither I work or worked for Delta has no bearing on my opinion.
