The only way I could have prevented being involved in this was by not flying at all. As I said in my posting, had fellow pilots of Falcon Air reached me in time I would have called in sick. As you can read in my posting I my knee injury would have supplied me with a plausible excuse even.

WOW....

Guys just let it go. He isn't gonna get it no matter how hard anyone tries.

Let's give you the benefit of doubt and say yes you didn't realize you were flying a NKS flight until almost to your destination, why did you fly the return leg? Why not call out sick? Do SOMETHING other then continue to SCAB and fly struck work?

Methinks you're pretty much hosed on this one, buddy.

Bad choices, even once, haunt a man for life... this one's yours. Own up to it, live with it, and move on. It's all you can do. My suggestion would be to go fly somewhere overseas for at LEAST a decade, maybe longer, before no one remembers your name (which is rather unique, and doesn't help you, either).

Just my two cents.

Who's going to pay the bills of the 400+ Spirit pilots on strike, who's acquisition of a fair and honest contract may have been delayed due to the operation of NKS2098/2099?

There is no good reason for what happened, just excuses. If you are that out of touch with our industry, ie not knowing if pilots are on strike, not knowing who you are really flying for, wondering why you were told to come in street clothes, have no clue that these are not normal and should have been big alarms going off in your head......maybe you should be doing something else.

Plus, if I'm not mistaken you have some former YXer's at Falcon, who I know personally and spent several years around alot of them and they would have been more than happy to help before you flew the flight. So stop blaming everyone else.

P.S. Just incase YX was Midwest, since you couldn't figure out what NK stood for.

Read my story, you will find that I do not blame anybody. It is just a very unfortunate confluence of circumstances

I respect your desire in coming clean with the facts on a public board, which takes courage.

I question why you couldn't use that same courage in refusing to take off when you spotted the photographer (once your CA told you who he was) or refusing to fly back once you knew you had scabbed. Any one of those two actions would have prevented the outcome that is sure to follow you for the rest of your career.

I really do feel sorry for you, regardless of whether I feel you were innocent or not. Alas, the repercussions of scabbing - whether innocently or not - are no small matters. The best - the ONLY - thing you can do now is to continuously voice your sincerest apologies to the Spirit pilot group - and all airline pilots you come across - and back it up with actions, even if it means picketing with them and taking the heat.

I wish you luck in your career. I hope you've learned a valuable lesson that, especially in aviation, ignorance of the rules cannot be an excuse.

You have zero credibility. It isn't up to your fellow Falcon pilots to keep you up to date with the facts of life, especially in YOUR INDUSTRY. So in your rush back from your big knee surgery did you have all your revisions done? Your charts up to date? I am sure you took the time to do that. What, do you live under a rock?

Hopefully you are looking for a new job. As far as "not volunteering to get beat up," I think you already volunteered. It is just a matter of time until someone gets ahold.

You are obviously everything that is wrong with this industry. Paid $7,000 for a B-737 SIC type so that you could get a contract job? Give me a break.

There is a lot that many people would like to say to you. But the mods on this forum will delete everything (probably this post).

Onno... I wish nothing but the worst for you, especially when it comes to your career in this industry. You deserve Falcon Air. You deserve the pi$$ poor wages that you make. And we are all probably very lucky that you've only risked peoples lives for 3,500 hours.

Having said all that, why don't you do us all a favor and just resign your position at Falcon. At least save face for the rest of the pilots there. Then come on here and post a receipt of your resignation from your chief pilot acknowleging that your out of the industry. Good riddance.
