QS about F9
Hi,
I realize there is a Frontier thread going on right now. I just need couple clear answers please.
How is the company doing over all? DEN? MKE?
According to APC all the furloughed pilots are recalled…Is that accurate?
What are the future plans with the fleet? Are the 318s going away? If so, will they be replace with 319/320 or Republics E jets?
Any plans for hiring any time soon?
And finally can someone please explain to me the whole thing about Republic Airline and F9. Does Republic want to merge pilot seniority lists? Meaning any RAH pilot can bid the airbus?
Thanks

Adding onto this, when hiring resumes, will one be able to be hired into Frontier to fly the Airbus? Or does everyone expect that you'll just be hired into Republic to fly an RJ and eventually move up to the Airbus?
If its the latter, I assume that Frontier is now categorized with regionals as far as where on the career ladder you'd be when trying to work there?

My best guess if they do merge pilot lists, their is no way a new hire will see the bus!

Well, now, in a PERFECT world, you would be hired into the right seat of a Beech 1900 and 25-30 years later you would retire from the left seat of a 777 without ever having to change jobs to do so.
If all the Beeches through Boeings were all owned by the same company and were all flown by the same pilots, much of the angst and hostility would just faaaaade away.
Then, on the other hand, if the fleets are segregated by company, management could play all the pilots off against each other and pretty much have a reverse auction for the available seats, which, among other things, will certainly keep the advertisers on these boards happy.
This whole RAH-F9-YX-L3 thing is a big mess that all involved will be lucky to live through. But do you really think handing BB/WH/HC the keys to a shiny new whipsaw will make it better?

One list or you can say goodbye to anyone flying at at Frontier. The LOA they signed is junk. It has a clause saying that if costs increase the company can toss it out. Gas has already gone up. You'll see shiny new C class Bombardiers flying with furry animals and pilots on food stamps. Trust me, none of us want that. It won't be a whip saw it will be a slaughter.

Let's not, PLEASE not, let this degenerate into a whizzing contest about that LOA. There has been a great deal of coherent discussion and that needs to continue. No red herrings allowed.
Class of '06 Riddlers who believe they are entitled to an Airbus seat because they were hired at RAH and because, dammit, it's what they deserve, need more than anything else to be beaten severely.
F9 guys have come too far and done too much to tolerate the disrespect of the kids who feel entitled to an Airbus seat 3 years out of college. They deserve the respect they have earned, but are severely misguided if they believe that separate lists based on that will benefit anyone but BB, WH and HC.
There are a lot of (rightfully) angry people who are directly affected by the whole acquisition/merger/purchase/pick your favorite noun. The asylum (on Purdue Rd) is quite literally in the hands of the patients and the futures of all the "normal" people depend on the willingness and ability of the "normal" people to cooperate despite their differences.
