Imagine the look on the test pilots face when they tell him...
"OK we want you to come in to land and hit as hard as you possibly can"
"Alrighty boss... I'll do my best."
He come in to land telling him slef... Don't flare Don't flare... Chop and drop... This is gonna hurt!!!

Seen it before, and I believe it was with test pilots flying.
If the landing was hard enough to break the entire tail section off the aircraft, it must be almost strong enough to break the pilots back bone!
