Seattle-Tacoma: No Incoming Flights
Due to snow and icy conditions, the news people are saying no incoming flights for the time being.
Also, a plane this afternoon came in and skidded off the runway. No indication of what plane or which airline.
Be careful out there!

SEA-TAC AIRPORT -- A Boeing 747 freighter rolled off the end of a runway while landing at Sea-Tac Airport on Monday afternoon, but the four-person crew was not injured.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus said the China Airlines cargo jet went off runway 34L at about 4:30 p.m.
Airport spokesman Perry Cooper said the plane went about 100 feet beyond the end of the runway, but remained on an area of safety concrete. The runway has been closed while crews investigate and work to move the aircraft.
Flights are taking off and landing using the airports two other runways, but Cooper said some flights are seeing delays of up to an hour due to inclement weather. [/QUOTE]

Good thing they added the third runway.

Glad it stopped, that's a pretty good drop off the end of 34L

It's a cargo flight, no pax on it. Flights were launching off 34C and 34R just fine, tho I think a Skywest CRJ700 aborted takeoff and went back to the gate.
Also if you think the drop is bad, look to the left of 34L - thats Seattle TRACON at the bottom of the hill. Not really a good place for it...
