How to submit resume to Hawaiian

Does anyone know where to submit your resume for Hawaiian? I didn't see them on airlineapps and I know they are not currently accepting resumes, but I am wondering if they have an application site where you can submit and update your resume to keep it on file.

Thanks.

On their website when they are accepting applications.

You can almost always create a profile, when they open up pilot apps they have a whole questionaire to fill out.

I just talked to HR and they have not determined staffing needs for next year yet. I know they are still working on FA hiring for the international flights they are starting and will decide pilot numbers later this year/beginning of 2011.

What is the QOL like at Hawaiian? Do you have to live in Hawaii?

Thanks for the responses.

Skid, by chance do you know their hiring minimum quals?

You don't have to live in HNL, but it would help with the qol. SEA is a small base, junior fo is something like 10 years. Living in HNL flying interisland is a good life, always sleep in your own bed.

Is there any way for a well-qualified RJ driver, who has no connections to Hawaii or Hawaiian, to get an interview? Or is it essentially impossible?

Hawaiian tries to interview those applicants with internal recommendations that meet their minimum requirements. Also important to success, are ties to the islands. Many crewmembers have wives or husbands from the islands, or have graduated from schools on the island, and most have lived in the islands for years. They also hire from a wide variety of backgrounds...regional, freight, corporate, military, etc., so there is no one "mold" other than close connections to the island.

To be considered, your application must be submitted online during the brief periods when the Hawaiian HR web page is open to pilots. This will probably happen again sometime in the spring of next year. This seems to attract thousands of applications for a few dozen jobs, making it intensely competitive.

captfurlough hit the nail on the head. mins are 1500 hrs. we hire part 91/135 turboprop fo's with no pic to the 10,000 hr furloughed aloha capt. depends on your hookups, background and some luck. we just announced an additional 6 a330s so that'll be a significant increase to the pilot group. pretty big deal when youre talking about a small fleet/pilot group. majority of newhires are into the a330.

as far as qol, life is great as long as you live in hawaii. i've commuted in the past. that sux. but that's the same deal at any airline isnt it? however, we have many commuters from the west coast. some have been doing it for 20+ years with a smile.

but to reitterate, you need to apply online when the window is open. good luck.
