Question for a DL guy

Posted this for a recruiter as well, but I'll re-post it here in hopes of getting a quick response.

Looking at going to the Job Fair in April. Right now I meet everything posted for a the minimum qualifications listed here except for the 1000 Turbine. I'll be close, most likely within 50 hours or so by the time April 1 gets here. On the site it says I must meet all the mins to meet with them, and it's the main reason I want to go. Anyone in the know think this is a deal breaker? Obviously i'm not counting on getting a class date any time soon but I would like to be able to get an idea of when I will really be competitive.

All of the guys that have been hired recently have been well in excess of the minimum requirements.

Here's the requirement:

Delta Pilot Minimum Qualifications

Last round had 5,500 applicants, 148 hired "off the street". Go ahead and apply, but it really helps to have internal rec's, and have the delta pilots use their "delta.com" e-mail address for the recommendation.

Deltanet homepage upper right hand corner "Web Email"

should have had it set up during indoc, but if you contact IT they can help you set it up now.

Your e-mail username is your 6-digit employee #. The password has a standard format...call the Helpdesk and they can give you the standard password, can't find it myself either.

Not all some were hired with no turbine 121 pic.

That's what I am going off of, im just curious if I am still OK to get a number to talk to someone in April in Vegas if I might be not meet the total turbine time yet, I'll pretty much be right there give or take a few hours. Not counting on getting hired right away, I just am trying to make plans for when the time comes and meet the right people.

I don't know how the Delta interview process works but the couple people I know who got hired there recently had several internal (delta.com email) recs. They were pretty qualified as well, several years 121 Turbine PIC. I actually didn't realize how low Delta's required minimums were. Competitive I'm sure is a different story.

The minimums don't specify 121 turbine pic other than consideration is given for it. Everyone I've spoken to at Delta has said if you meet the mins, apply and keep updating. Good luck!
