A simple line for any junior guy is pick tuesday/wednesday off, or wednesday/thursday...don't expect anything more....:)

Not quite. I am a stone's throw from the bottom in MCO and I am doing fri-sun reserve with every monday-thursday off. I don't commute so 4 pure days a week off is just fine!

I only have 250 Jet PIC, but have 600 hours in the 737-400. 4500 Total time. Do you think I have a hope in hell of even being looked at?

I think a hard minimum is 1000 turbine PIC. If you don't have that, I dont think you will even be able to fill out the full app.

Sweet! That is exactly where and what I'm looking for... well, any 3 day combo mon-fri would be better, but I know that's a long time coming. So what's a good estimate for a new hire in this wave to move from one of the junior bases out west to MCO?

For the guys on the bottom, MCO is the most senior base.

No. 1000 PIC Turbine is the MINIMUM

Not to change the subject, but I have another question about seniority at SWA. Does anyone know the average age of the SWA pilot workforce? I have seen posts about upcoming retirements at other airlines, but no info about SWA. Any idea how many retirements in 2012, 2013, 2014…? Thoughts on how the merger will effect this?

That's 4377 pilots out of the current 5887... Now what are the #s for AT?

Doesn't seem like a lot since it is over 24 years, but that is 74% of the current work force and if you have 30 years of career left, well...
