Training 75/76 @ CAL

Can anyone approximate how long 756 "initial" training is for a new-hire @ CAL?

All newhire classes at CAL run about 8 weeks +/-

When I checked into the airport Marriot the confirmed that I would be staying there for 55 nights.

You may not train (simulator) in Houston. I did it in Seattle at Boeing in the 767-300. Others got Miami.

Otto:

Did you have a chance to express a preference? Thanks!

No, the schedules were set in advance. I didn't even know I was going to Seattle until day one in Houston. It all depends on how busy the Houston CAL sims are. They will use their own sims up first, of course.

How much does CAL hold to the batchelor's degree requirement?

I don't know for a fact, but I'm guessing unless you're the cheif pilot's or CEO's son, you better have one. You won't make it with all the competition without one. I had over 10,000 hours and a Master's.
