French Visa for crew entry?

Just got my passport renewed and am trying to determine Visa requirements. My old passport had a French visa but I've heard they dropped that requirement for working crew members. Anyone know for sure?

"us citizens do not need a tourist/business visa to enter this country up to a period of 90 days"

There was no interaction w/ French Customs when I was there the other week. Bus straight to hotel and on return we offloaded to clear security....company must handle the rest. Enjoy the Frogs!

Baja.

The Schengen visa is no longer required for flight crews.
