What's Next for Sun Country?

Here's the article that lead me to the title question;

Cambria deal gives new life to Sun Country | StarTribune.com

I remember when Sun Country was all DC-10's and 727's. Anything new on the horizon for the company? The quick take says there may be hiring in the fall, can anybody comment?

I guess I can understand wanting to go there if you are a regional FO, but those wages are a joke. Just another reason a lot of people don't like ALPA.

Ok then, we got the commentary about regional FO career moves, wages and ALPA out of the way. Back to the original question: Does anybody have anything to say about flying for Sun Country? I knew a guy who was an FE there, but that was a long time ago.

Sun Country Airlines has been sold to Cambria Holdings, keeping the airline local to Minnesota. Also, no changes in store for Frequent Flyer program.

I wanted to get this thread going again. I have a job interview with Sun Country next week and would like some help getting some info on them. I have noticed that APC Forums doesnt have much on Sun Country.

- What is reserve like? Short call or Long Call? What kind of Reserve contract do they have and what kind of lifestyle can a pilot expect?
- Does Sun Country have CASS Jumpseat on almost every domestic airline?
- How likely is it to fly over the monthly pay guarantee?
- Are they expanding/growth? Or hiring for a few retirements?
- How senior is the pilot group? They have 139 pilots. Are majority of them expected to be retiring in the next few years just like all Major/Legacy will be experiencing?
- Are they healthy? They've been making a decent profit every year since bankruptcy.

But I suppose more importantly before I worry about the above, I have to interview. Does anyone have interview gouge infor. Willflyforfood.com only has 2 gouges. One from 1999, and one from June 2011 and they are dramatically different.

I would appreciate anyone with information to help.

Moderator,

Please drop this post from Majors as it is duplicated in the Hiring News Section.

My apologies to everyone(especially the original poster) for my contribution to the thread drift. It was inappropriate. I asked other moderators to step in and clean it up.
