US Airways files TRO

Usairways can't wait for injunction to be heard as operational disruptions continue so they just filed for TRO against usapa in clt federal court.

"The Motion demonstrated concerted, illegal action by USAPA to interfere with and slow down US Airways’ operations — a breach of the requirement to maintain the status quo under Section 2, First, of the RLA. Since US Airways filed its Motion, USAPA’s illegal slowdown has continued, with East pilots causing nine to ten flight cancellations a day (just as had been occurring prior to the filing of the Motion), which means that approximately 11,750 members of the traveling public have had their flights cancelled during the last ten days. And this does not include the tens of thousands of passengers whose travel plans are being disrupted each day by late arriving flights and subsequent missed connections and whose baggage has not arrived as scheduled. During this same time, however, all operational metrics for West pilots remain normal. Thus, USAPA’s continuing claim that its campaign is about legitimate “safety” concerns is not credible"

The east pilots were very proud that they didn't need the west for anything except furlough fodder, doesnt seem to be working out like they planned. A injunction against Usapa (very likely) will kill the companies argument that they fear a job action if they don't capitulate to the east's demands of a doh contract. Hard to argue you fear a job action when a injunction against it is in place, hard to apply any pressure on the company as well. As expected the east boys have shot their load way to early.

Looks like the vet is finishing up the procedure with a successful castration and the rabid beast will be declared impotent shortly.

this is not just a pilot issue. this involves gate agents, flight attendants, rampers, mechanics, the entire east operation is willing to burn the whole place to the ground. dougie has one heck of a mess on his hands.

nah, belongs here.

It's company vs union, not union pros and cons or union vs union.

If you get a chance you need to read the documents filed in court. This, along with the filings last week are very entertaining.

I am not sure about including all the east labor groups, Fleet is having problems due to Tempe taking over the scheduling...Some working in ABR are forced to run 80 bags without any help, that's why misconnects are out of control...

Are you saying there's an excessive risk of a psychopathic lunatic among the employees going off the deep end ?

Not convinced of that, but USAPA has not given a very good impression of mental health IMO. I visualize a group of chimps in a cage at the zoo throwing banana peels and feces at each other as well as the gawkers watching their melée.

You right though, it's a mess and worse, it will NEVER be corrected as long as U East is in operation in it's current form.
