Default Any "Latest and Greatest" about American?

Delta's thread has over 74,000 replies so I figured one devoted to AA might be a source of some good information. I'm hearing recalls should all be back (or bypass) by year end and that hiring off the street could start as early as Spring of 2012. Anyone have any good rumors or solid info?

This is what they are telling us over at Eagle.

*Latest statistics on AA recalls: 18% acceptance rate. With 424 AA pilots to be called before Eagles group of 238, AA expects Eagle flowthroughs to start the 2nd class of November or 1st class of December.

*Total AA recalls remaining= 929. (excluding Eagles 238). In regards to how recalls are done at AA, once AA has called pilot #929, two things happen. 1. A 3 year clock begins for any deferral who wishes to return to AA. 2. New hire classes at AA begin. Thus, very possible for AA to begin new hires by next summer.

Any inside word on contract negotiations? Latest I could find on the web is: Sky Talk: American pilots union and management meet face-to-face but is doesn't give any indication how the negotiations are proceeding.

If one of the 238 eagle pilots chooses not to go does that mean that pilot 239 takes their place?

Are the 238 Eagle pilots included in the 824 number I keep hearing about?

The 238 have senority #'s. The 824 do not. They go at a % when off the street hiring begins.

If you have to ask the question, you won't qualify.
