Delta goes way up, United goes way down in July on-time numbers
Dallas Morning News - 10:02 AM Delta Air Lines improved its on-time number by 10 percentage points in July, while United Airlines saw a 10-point drop compared to July 2010. As a result, Delta jumped nine places, from 15th to sixth, while United dropped 10 places from third to to 13th in the U.S. Department of Transportation rankings for the month. |

The answer is pretty obvious, really. Delta finished their merger and intensified their operational focus. UAL is in the midst of the process.
It will be interesting to watch SWA. |
