What does everyone think US Airways plans are in this deal? (All the talk so far seems to be about Delta)

Did they get anything else aside from the slots? I seem to remember some route authorities were involved also.

Seems like they're losing almost 100 slots. Will this result in a reduction in flying? Where are those airplanes that fly the LGA flying going to go? They're obviously not all going to DCA.

They get $60 plus million in cash and lose some ground jobs. Most of the slots were flown by express carriers and the fleet will remain static.

60 million in cash will help with the AA/US Air merger after the BK filing by AA. Just kidding, I wouldn't wish that SLI on any pilot group. Let's hope it never happens.

Should not be an issue at all, according to east pilots the majority wishes take precedence in sli integration, plus I'm sure the apa wants to go by strict doh so the easts 16 year furloughed pilots can take their rightfull place in the left seat of amr''s widebody's

I'm not sure 16 years even holds MD-80 captain over there at American. Does it?

Delta/USAir slot swap plan hits US antitrust snag | Reuters

What are the chances this deal still falls apart?

I would think slim, but having new antitrust issues regarding DCA and US Air can't help move this thing along.

Cactiboss. You cant be serious. You know there will be fences. As all mergers DOH have 5 to 10 year fences. Your just mad because a merger with AA will end any hope for the Nicholau award. Which was a bunch of BS anyway.
