Emergency at ATL?

Was anyone around ATL today (November 27, 2011) around 1400 EST and knows what was going on with that Emergency Delta 757 on Runway 10? There were probably 6 go arounds due to it. Hope that all was alright.

Captain was unable to locate his hat.

Just a guess, but when I landed at 12ish the winds were gusting over 32kts. Max X-Wind is 29 in the 757. (Winds were 160-21G32 which put the X wind at 28 kts) If he did not have an alternate, went missed once, he was probably Min Fuel or worse trying to make a landing out of limits. Weird to land on 10 for anything that was passenger or system related.

I know for a fact they try and put you on 10 if they think you may tie up a runway for a bit. Not sure why you would accept it though.

You will fit in great at USair or Miami Air.

Just some good nature'd ribbing, guy. No one got hurt; it's OK to poke fun once in a while.

Sent em to 10 because the taxiway next to it is not straight. He had to use a runway.

I guess if I had been more clear, I would've avoided all of the "funny" answers. I should've included in there that when I saw the 757, it was surrounded by Emergency Response Vehicles which is what caught my attention after seeing about 6 go arounds for Runway 10.

Did see on the news yesterday (I think) that a Delta aircraft blew some tires on landing and one of the runways was blocked for a short while. Other than that I have no idea.
