Day off pay, Ryan pay.
 

Anyone out there willing to divulge what (extra pay) pilots are paid to fly on days off? Appreciate any info available... We are negotiating a new contract and in need of this information. Thanks! PS... if anyone has the new numbers for Ryan Int'l I would really appreciate that too!!!

At FedEx all overtime/draft/volunteer is at 150%. Working more than 4 hours after scheduled end of trip pays 150%. It increases to 200% after a point I can't put my finger on (someone help me). I'm thinking its 12hrs after sch arrival.

Not quite true. We do not have a monthly pay cap so nothing defines what overtime flying is.

We have lines that have in excess of 65 hours of carry over. It is possible to de-conflict and fly almost every day, but that is at straight time. That is currently by choice.

We do also have (As Mr dckozak said) have Volunteer and Draft. Volunteer is where you put yourself on a list. If you get a trip it is paid at 150%.
Draft is when Schedules is out of pilots and they are asking for help. They call you and say "Hey we are drafting for this trip to XYZ, do you want it?"
It pays 150%.

Annnnnd what we have at FedEx is much better than what a lot of carriers have.

In my 3 years at AA I got 150% pay exactly once, for 3 whole hours after we got sent to JFK when we were scheduled to layover in STL (and I only got the extra pay because it put me over SPROJ for the month - the captain got straight pay).

Many people at many airlines work on days off for straight pay. There is no simple answer to the question - every contract is different.

Anyways....CAL pays 150% for junior manning. Maybe another CAL pilot will chime in. With caller ID and wanting NOT to work on my days off.....not too familiar with it. :rolleyes:

Thanks guys... Keep the info coming! We (MAI) get $200 for F/O's and $250 for Capts., who volunteer to work on a designated "day off." We're trying to raise these rates as our hourly rates are typically lower (and will probably stay that way) than our Peers. Thanks for the info... Any charter ops out there?
