Default So This is the "LUV"....

What one of my fellow AirTran pilots just posted on our forum:

Just a heads up.....took the family to Disney World, non reved on a SWA flt. and checked three bags. Two bags made it one did not. The 3rd bag showed up 2 days later. It was my bag I use at work which had an AIRTRAN crew tag and my business card in a outside holder. The crew tag was cut off and the business card holder was ripped off. The bag had our liquids my clothes and some of our kids items. All of the toilitries and my clothes were missing and in there place were someone else's dirty nasty clothes stuffed in my bag.

Hopefully an isolated incident but if you check a bag on SWA I would make sure nothing that says AIRTRAN is showing.

Disgusting. I agree, hopefully isolated.

He says right up front that this was from a friend who posted it on another message board. He doesn't claim to have first hand knowledge or represent this as anything other than a heads up.
What we should all be more concerned about is if this is, or is not, an isolated incident. I would surely hope so because I have no doubt that if SWA leadership knew about this that they would take measures against such an act.
To the OP - I hope your friend took pictures and and ran this up the chain.
I'm sure sure why you have heartburn with this information being put out there Herc

I am not so sure it is a SWA vs Airtran thing. It is probably the fact they ripped off your bag tag info. That happened to us twice recently.

Whackmaster IS an isolated incident.

I'm pretty sure after he transfers to the LUV side he's going to get more and more isolated.

What a piece of work.

Ah, yes...the traditional, "I don't have an answer, so a gratuitous insult will have to do."

I read this on the AirTran forum when it was posted and had a couple of questions about the posting.

1) someone 'cut' a crew tag off? Versus just taking it off?

2) this same someone managed to stash a bag somewhere in order to open it, dispose of it's contents and then replace them with someone else's dirty nasty clothes. Where did those come from? Did he happen to have them with him at work? While it could be said that at the end of a 4-day my bag is certainly full of 'dirty, nasty clothes' I'm not sure the same could be said for the average ramper.

This story smacks of hyperbole to me. If not, I sincerely hope the information was forwarded to Gary Kelly/Bob Jordan. I refuse to believe they would let an incident like this go un-investigated.
