Where is DAL going to let Alaska the 73-900ER

You're definitely missing the point - you don't have enough feed to fill up half our flights - that's the point. You are flying profitable routes that we used to fly on our and we're just as upset at outsourcing to you (or our joint ventures like Air France) as we are about outsourcing to the RJs. This has nothing to do with the quality of AS as a company, it's pilots, or as a competitor. We are in the first non-BK negotiation since 2000 and we are planning are doing something about Section 1 of our contract. One of the mantras of most of the people I talk to is Delta passengers should fly on Delta A/C with Delta crew. All of you AS pilots are taking this personally - that's not what this is about.

So for every flight we give you 90 pax (the limit is 50% of the seats but this is for the sake of argument) we get 30 pax. So you are getting a half full airplane and we are getting between 8 - 13% of our aircraft filled.
This deal is even worse than RJ feed IMO.

And we're going to win this argument with Alaska pilots how?
This is between us and our management. No way in hell an Alaska pilot will agree that they're getting the better end of the deal, or vice-versa.
On the other hand, this a good, gentle primer for a SLI integration.

Post merger 828 planes & 13,400 pilots...that's respectable and doable. We're in the midst of contract negotiations, and expectations are high. One thing on management's mind is that consolidation is not yet complete.
Soooo...better get used to these Delta guys.
Richard has said, "why buy the cow when you get the milk for free?", speaking of AS. My point is, "so that no one else uses our cow."
