Delta, You're The Best!
Having accepted the fact that nobody except my husband can use the Delta ticket I purchased for him last year that he could not use, we decided to spend money in order to save money!
Given all the limitations and restrictions we already have, we are now going to San Juan, Puerto Rico at the end of July. Wheee! I called the Delta Reservations number and spoke with Nancy in Tampa. Very efficiently, she re-booked my husband, booked me a new ticket, chose our seats, gave us our confirmation numbers, found out little moi has not one, but two (2) SkyMiles numbers, merged the two numbers to give me nearly 70,000 miles, suggested I call its partner, Hotels.com, where we got a fantastically great deal on a hotel.
This phone call has been a really positive experience. It's like winning the lottery (and speaking of which, I'm going to buy a couple tickets as soon as I post this!). Nancy made it so easy that spending money didn't hurt; it was actually fun.
I'm looking forward to SJU.
And thanks, Delta, for being a pretty good airline. You make my home team, Alaska, seem almost ... grumpy.
