This is not true. A Delta pilot will not be bumped off a Delta jumpseat for weight reasons though. They will bump an OAL jumpseater. Even Delta Connection pilots.

Are ZED fares the same as ID90? Do they have to be purchased in advance?
I'm planning on some travel this summer, so this thread is proving useful for general info; don't travel much, for fun. |
ZED fares are valid on multiple airlines and routes (in theory) and are priced via zone and type (high, medium, and low). ID90 fares are valid on the airline and citypair that you purchased it for.
Both must be purchased in advance at a ticket counter of the airline you work for (not the airline you wish to fly on), however certain airlines have an e-ticket ZED program that allows you to purchase tickets online. Once you buy the ZED/ID90, you have to list with the carrier you will fly on. |

I'm planning on some travel this summer, so this thread is proving useful for general info; don't travel much, for fun. That said, some smaller airlines of the world aren't into the zed system yet. Some are into the E-ZED system which you can buy and refund your tickets right over the internet and when you buy them through EZED, they list you as well. |
HAHA, thanks Moar Alpha :D
