Talking Having a VIP on your flight

Recently on a flight to LAX I noticed some interesting behavior by the captain on my flight. First I was lucky enought to be sitting in first class as a nonrev, and also lucky to have Paris Hilton on my flight. The captain seemed very excited to meet her and asked her if she wanted a to see the cockpit (no pun intended). She liked the idea and stepped inside for a quick peek and took a few pics with the capt.and FO. I wast just curious how other pilots have reacted to having VIPs on their flights? Are you guys always this friendly or was it just a pilot having a little thing for Paris?

I don't think I would consider myself "lucky" to have miss Hilton on my flight.

I have to say she looks a lot better in person and is actually really nice. She didn't seem stuck up like I thought she would. I also got a pic with her. Ive met a lot worse.

Wouldn't be half bad getting "lucky" with her on your flight.

It would be better than having Naomi Campbell on your flight. She'd throw her cell phone at the flight attendant's head when she was told to turn it off. I think I should create another moronic reality show - "In the Ring with Naomi" Contestants could get in the ring with Naomi and duke it out.

Years ago, probably before most of you were flying for a living, this happened out of LAX. I was the copilot on a L1011, going to ATL. One of the stews came up (while we were on the ground), and said that a first class passenger had a carry-on bag that wouldn`t fit in the overhead compartment, and that she was sending the passenger up to the cockpit to ask for permission to stow the bag in the cockpit. The passenger was Farah Faucett,on her way to ATL to make one of those "Redneck Racer" movies with Burt Reynolds. Anyway, she flashed that smile and asked us nicely if she could leave the bag with us. We said "sure". The bag was a leather one, looked like a parachute bag. As soon as we closed the door, the engineer (later to become the chief pilot) opened the bag and we then proceeded to try and steal Farah`s underwear. Unfoutunately, the bag only contained sweaters and jackets. Sure would have been fun to snag her underwear.

It's all subjective, but I wouldn't consider Paris Hilton to be a VIP.

Also, I'm surprised she doesn't have an account with NetJets or some other fractional/charter company to get around the country.

Default Paris Hilton G-2

Paris used to own a G-2, nicely laid out, if you will. A small outfit out of Lexington flys it now, he bought it from her people.

I thought she had her one jet as well. She didn't use a mileage number so it could have been rare occasion. Her assistant was a 1k though so who knows.
