View Poll Results: My plan for turning this down is:
1. I know a better deal will be offered w/out Sec 6. I can point to a non-strike precedent.

2. I suspect a better deal is coming soon, based on a hunch the company is bluffing.

Finis, I think this TA will pass, despite my own personal no vote. All the comments I'm hearing from the yes side essentially boil down to, "we'd better accept what the company offers or else". Well, if that is the case, then the company was too generous, they could have saved more money with a 3-3-3 or 1-1-1.
Oh, and I think Carl is at the top of the food chain...his ride is bigger!

Oh, and according to the graffiti in the NRT bar men's room.....it's only Carl's ride that's bigger

Elvis, Crewdog just proved my point, B-1= 777, B52= whale, bigger and fatter but they weigh more !I bet an O-3 is paid the same on either bomber and so it goes for the modern sleek 777 and the old fat whale.( think I'll get any grenades on this post?)

crewdawg,
You've said that you've considered the long term possibilities and you're willing to live with those consequences in pursuit of something better. I can respect that. One of the reasons that I'm leaning towards a Yes is that while I was initially let down by this TA being below my expectations, I look at the 2015 rate and think that I'm going to be really p*ssed in two and a half years if we're still in negotiations and I'm working under the old rates and I could've had the new ones. But I'm still undecided as I try to figure what plan B for both sides would really look like.

So based on that, would they really want to wait 2+ years when they can just tweak a few sections and have it voted in a second time a few months later? No way.

I had 777A LCA in my jumpseat a couple of days ago talking about a meeting with RA. The pilot contract wasn't even an afterthought in RA's mind in the meeting, with all of the other grand plans he has on deck now & in the future. Honestly if RA didn't give a hoot about this labor force then he wouldn't have expended so much effort in this "7-month-early-50-seat-trade-for-76-seats-coupled-with-a-717-incentive-and-promise-of-hiring.". I expect the last thing we'll hear about prior to the vote closing out is a new widebody order 'pending approval of the new pilot TA'.
I am a junior dude and will feel the impact either way, as I do in every single AE.

You don't have to worry about RA's grand plans because you will be junior, forever.......nothing he may want to do will include you, ever....

What are you willing to give up in the process of tweaking?
