Latest NNP addressing FAQ questions/concerns

Seems like DALPA has a pretty good response to all the nay sayers on here. The waters are muddy but the latest NNP does a good job dispelling a lot of the rumors and misconceptions that are out there. I just got it in my inbox so look out for it. Still leaning towards no but the recent NNP has me reconsidering some things.

I got it about an hr ago, and it's still a no vote.

They did a nice job skirting this question.
*
Q5********* Why aren’t the MD-88/MD-90 rates the same as the A-320/A-319?
A5********* The MEC passed a resolution directing the Negotiating Committee to attempt to move the pay rate for the MD-88 up to the MD-90 rate.* That was accomplished with this TA.* Every other category that flies multiple equipment types (737-800/700, A-320/A-319, 757/767) has one pay rate for that category.* MD-88s being brought up to MD-90 rates provides a 2.4% pay increase even before the TA pay rate increases are applied.

Agreed. I thought the exact same thing. Nice skirting DALPA

They seem to be ever so adept these days at not answering direct questions...

It read like a sell job. I read it and deleted it, it added nothing.

I think the DC9 guys should be paid the most because they work the hardest and use only maps to navigate. Nice going DALPA! (tic)

Psssst. Everyone gets at least a 19.7% pay raise in 2 1/2 years with this TA. The MD88 guys get an extra 2.4%. If you want to bid the MD88 from the A320, do it.

forgot to bid 06-11-2012 08:11 PM

They should just hire Bill. Or Bill might even be willing to pay them to do it.

The talking points are simple, it's huge pay increase, we get 717s, Delta Connection becomes more profitable, and we hire to replace the 300 or more pilots cut out due to work rule changes in addition to those who take the retirement package. And 717s...

That was nauseating to read. It was so tilted I kept getting "bank angle" going off in my brain. Seriously though, its just more of the same sell job.

They are completely ignoring all the downside (and there is a lot of it) and carefully twisting/spinning to make it seem like it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. It's dishonest and yet another example of why DALPA cannot be trusted as our bargaining agent. End of story.
