Could plan B be new code share with Skywest??
Could managements back up plan be a new code share with a self branded Skywest using C series jets?
Skywest gets to return their 50 seaters early and turns into our new 100 seat lift partner. Skywest has obtained financing and there is a lot of talk about a huge order from them. I'm not sure on the details of the Republic loop hole but does anyone know if this is possible? |

Keep trying to justify giving up DC-9 sized airframes if it makes you feel better, but you're looking pretty scared and weak. |

No, it is not possible. Read Section 1 of the PWA on how Delta can use its code.
Does the new holding company language apply to skywest if they are flying for Alaska which has an exception clause in the TA? vpr |

SkyWest (or any other US airline for they matter) could codeshare with KLM, AF or Alitalia. (I think this is what Bedford erroneously calls "Skyteam code") Cheers George |

That is correct. Can't put Delta code on a non DCI, Non HA or AS jet domestically.

Cheers George Delta is the exclusive provider for this side of the Atlantic JV. AF/KLM and AZ cannot codeshare as you describe. SkyWest could carry the code of non-JV SkyTeam airlines, but it has to be that individual airline's code. They can't use Delta code in that arrangment, and as such they would be a competitor to Delta in that market. Under our current scope SkyWest can operate other than permitted aircraft for other air carriers. Under the TA SkyWest's ability to operate larger aircraft for competitors and maintain their DCI relationship is further restricted. |
